3 Social Entrepreneurship: two interactive workshops to help you develop or establish a social venture. Ideal for Braintree residents with ideas for social change or those running a group seeking sustainability, the sessions cover income generation, financial planning, and creating measurable social impact. What’s on offer? Three separate courses for local leaders or those who want to lead—whether it’s in the place you live, an existing organisation, or a new start-up.
Community Organising for local people who want to make a difference in their village, town or estate, 2 workshops (a local one and a district-wide one) focussing on how to organise effectively.
Third Sector Leadership for anyone with a leadership or management role in a charity, social enterprise or voluntary organisation. From project managers to trustees & CEO. 4 Masterclasses and 12 Knowhow Webinars.
Social Entrepreneurship if you’re thinking of starting a new group or organisation and don’t know where to start, these two workshops will set you up nicely!
AM I ELIGIBLE? If you fit one of the profiles above, and you, or your organisation, are based in Braintree district then YES! You are exactly who we are looking for…
Do I have to attend all sessions? For Community Organising you should try to attend one local plus one district-wide workshop, for Social Entrepreneurship you’ll get the most benefit if you attend both sessions, but for Third Sector Leadership we are happy for people to mix and match as appropriate.
Can my organisation sign several people up? Yes, providing you register each individually.
Will it be too ‘academic’ for me? ARU has years of experience working with charity leaders & managers, community organisers, and social entrepreneurs—people like you! Our courses are practical and designed to help you do things better the minute you walk out the door.
How much does it cost? Thanks to Braintree District Council places are fully funded for all courses.
